Partnership with Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network (RMIAN)

RMIAN has a Children’s Program that provides legal counsel, at no cost, for low  income immigrant children who have suffered from abuse, neglect, or violence. Supporters of Children has been able to recently assist five children and youth, identified by RMIAN, whose cases were ready to be processed by the US Department of Homeland Security for permanent residency, naturalization, or DACA extension, but who could not afford to pay the necessary document filing fees.

Supporters of Children will continue to assist children and young people, in partnership with RMIAN, in whatever ways we can. For the moment, providing the costly filing fees that are often the only obstacle to opening a child’s life to possibility, is a tremendous help to those kids who are on their own at very young ages or whose families do not have the ability to pay the fees which average around $500.

There are approximately five cases of children and youth at RMIAN, per month, which are stalled in their applications for legal status in Colorado, due to inability to pay the filing fees. Supporters of Children will apply 100% of donations received directly to paying the fees on behalf of these children. There are, currently, no clear options for these kids to complete their applications and move forward in their lives.

Please give generously to help us help these kids!!
